Brady speaks

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wasn't happy last night and he struck a similar tone during his paid weekly appearance on WEEI this morning. Simply, he's ticked about the way things went down against the Jets.

"Everybody was frustrated after the game," Brady said. "The way we played in the first half, I thought we did a pretty good job of executing the game plan. Then to come out in the second half with our goals ahead of us and not perform the way we expected, everybody was real frustrated.

"For the offense not to score any points and not even stay on the field in the second half, nobody was happy. Unacceptable."

Brady characterized the problem as "execution. We couldn’t complete passes, we couldn’t stay on the field, we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t really convert any third downs. We couldn’t make enough plays in the run game or passing game. We hung our defense out to dry, giving them the ball back and sending them out on the field."

No idea. With KT posting, I thought it was gonna be something like Brady blaming Moss for his failure and the subtle reasons why he would. But it wasn't.

But since he was brought up, there is a golden opportunity to again bash him.

KT's got an agenda where he likes to start threads in NFL football central about poo he had an argument with someone else months ago posting quotes from articles which support his point of view, assuming the people he argued with haven't moved on from the debate like he hasn't

with this i assume somewhere back down the line he had some discussion with another poster about brady.

Thought you guys knew me better than that. I was wrong. If yall did, yall would know Brady is my fave QB. There's no agenda with this thread, just Brady saying what needs to be said and showing us why he's the best QB in the game. What I dont get is why people hate this guy and call him a "douchebag"? Brady plays the game the way it needs to be played.

That's cool. With a little backstory this post makes sense.

As far as Brady's play goes (except for yesterday), he's a for-sure HOF'er. No doubt there. We all wish we could have a QB that played like that.

But his comments outside of the game reek of pompous asshole. He acts like he's on a pillar no one can touch. He's damn good... but he's not the best... and even if he was, that's not an excuse to talk like you have no class.

I couldn't disagree more. Hell, he's taking responsibility, not acting like he's on any pillar. He takes the blame for "hanging the Defense out to dry."

I don't get the hate for Tom in this case

    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
    • Maybe faked was too strong of a word.  "Milked" may be the better way to call it.
