What station do you listen to in the triangle? I listen to the Buzz in the mornings, and try to catch Packman in the evening but the radio here is mostly trash.

I think that drafting Jimmy if nothing else was a good business move, he'll get people in the seats at the stadium at least for the next few games, and he's got the national media covering the Panthers which never happens.

You're right about Jimmy, let's just hope his results on the field keep the media and national love going...

Man, I usually just switch between 620 AM and 99.9 FM all day to the national shows whenever I'm in the car, like Mike and Mike, Scott Van Pelt, Jim Rome, and then Packman. I switch between those channels depending on when the local guys decide to cut off whatever show is on and start talking their irrelevant b.s.

I don't think 850 AM is even sports talk anymore, I think they all went to 99.9 FM.

You're in the RDU area bleys? Man, I really can't stand the local sports talk shows. Once hockey season starts they have no idea who the Panthers or Bobcats are... They usually don't have any idea who they are before hockey season either. And I don't think the Ovius guy knows poo about sports.

Yeah Cowturd is just running his yap. What was up with that segment on resumes? Then he says Reggie Bush is not a bust and infers he's an elite player.

Adam Gold and Joe Ovius are the dumbest assholes I've ever heard on the radio.. Especially Gold.. They hate on everyone, esp Panthers, and are usually waaaay off base more times than they are anywhere close to right..

They are the worst thing since talk radio began.. I quit listening to them.. I always thought it was funny to hear callers tell Gold how wrong he was, and Gold never had any decent responses but to divert and redirect..

They suck.. For real.

Glenn is alright, but his voice is hard to listen to.. Esp in his interviews, he laughs throughout the interview (to create an atmosphere for the interviewee) and its annoying as fug.

And they took Dan Patrick off the radio.. Wtf..

I like Taylor Zarzar (sp?) At times.. But that gets old too.. He did an entire segment about all the famous "friends" he has in the sports world..

And people in Charlotte hate Packman? poo, he's the Dan Patrick of Raleighs local shows.. lol

I do the same.. I can't stand most of the local shows..

Van Pelt is one of my favorites, but they knock an hour off for gold n ovius.. (IIRC)

For a long time I was just podcasting Dan Patrick for sports and Adam Corolla for entertainment..

I need to get back to that..

LOL, my thoughts exactly. I was ashamed to tell people on here that I listened to Packman whenever it was on, but fans in the Charlotte area don't know how good they have it. Yeah, he's another talking head with his own shtick, but at least their immersed in Panthers talk, and the hosts are knowledgeable about the factual elements of the team and infuse their own opinion into the issues around the team.

These RDU guys literally have no idea what they're talking about unless it's hockey. I've also heard them belittle their callers several times... They just really seem like douchebags. Seems like those nerdy dickheads guys at college that forgot they were nerds and treated everybody like they were above them and they're the only ones that get their own jokes.

They also had that Bomani Jones guy on for awhile and he tried to do more national takes, but he was just as bad... I also think that Gold or Ovius had a grudge against him.

That David Glenn guy is the best one I've heard out of all of them. He presents legitimate arguments and seems to have a good grasp on all the professional NC sports teams. But, like you said, it's still hard to listen to most of the time.

Ravens (ok, there probably slightly better then us, but I don't view them as elite)

Colts (yeah)

Pats (yeah)

Green Bay (yeah)

New Orleans (ok they were a joke of a franchise for 30+ years 12 months ago but give them credit)

Atlanta (WHAT!?)
