Why do I get the feeling Davidson is going to love Clausen? I think we're going to see lots of shorter passes under Clausen, which is a good thing.

Major highlights from the Clausen-Herd interview

• He's said he has mastered the playbook but knows that its more than just knowing the plays but also reading defenses etc.
  

• Says he hopes hes the starter for the rest of the season and his career but hasn't been told anything by coaches
  

• Said there is no ill will towards Matt and that Matt congratulated him yesterday.
  

• Talked about how the speed of the NFL is much faster than it was in college
  
• Says the the Notre Dame system helped him adjust to the pros
  

The end was mostly about Notre Dame and Weis. Overall I think he had good answers and sounded like his head is on straight.

I've said a million times, he hates small-market teams. He only did that Clausen interview b/c Clausen's a high-profile guy from Cali, to Notre Dame, and then what happened in the draft.

i really hope so. davidson may have been limited by the QBs that he ahs had to work with. that was true with jake and they talked about how matt did some things that jake just couldn't do or wasn't comfortable with.

they have probably been just waiting for any opportunity to get clausen in there. can't say i blame them. moore's performance made the decision to bench him easy.
