Panthers do everything possible to avoid starting Dwayne Jarrett

exactly my point. you guys are taking poo talk by a defenisve by a player during practice and blowing it out of proportion.

Let's make start calling out Steve Smith for not knowing the playbook, LaFell, etc. B/c in 1st start LaFell has run wrong routes and as a seasoned pro Smith ran wrong assignments that resulted in picks last season.......

wonder why people only use those against Jarrett......

There were posts made on this board by Smitty in the Delhomme threads about running the wrong routes. Smitty let us down Sunday with the drop and that sucked. You act like there is such a double standard when in reality all we want as fans are W's.

Btw, isn't Jarrett a seasoned veteran now too?

I planned to look up the stats of other WRs taken in the second round in 07 because I assumed that they would be around the same as DJ if not a little better, pretty much everyone starting to come into their own... There were 3 recivers picked in the second round of the 2007 draft.

Dwayne Jarrett was the number 45 pick in that draft...Number 44 was Sydney Rice...Number 51 was Steve Smith for the Giants

So umm yeah...

Sidney Rice had over 1,300 yards and made the Pro Bowl last year.

Steve Smith (NYG) had 107 receptions and over 1,200 yards.

Dwayne Jarrett is busy getting beat out by 6th round rookies. Everyone let's line up to defend him.

Yea I planed to post stats, but when I saw who the receivers that were taken were, compared to our dear boy Mr. Jarett I felt that spoke VOLUMES

I looked these up and presented them to CRA.. None of it matters. You just cant argue with some people..

http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/40990-dwayne-jarrett-3.html Just look at this thread.. It explains it all and shows that CRA is either a family member or his #1 fan club member.

wonder why people only use those against Jarrett......and ignore it on everyone else. Not knowing the playbook was the bs the anti Moore crowd was hanging there hat on as to why Fox would never put him in. Moore ain't a Fox guy and never was.....simple as that. Fox doesn't control the roster.....but he will put his guys in and the organizations guys on the bench.

I wouldn't waste my time arguing with them about this subject. Hell the majority things on this board is just fictional. These people don't really know why Jarrett isn't playing, they just making excuses.

They did the same thing with peppers. Btw I'm a panthers and peppers fan. Even though i hate to see the panthers lose I would love to see peppers come here and dominate.

Why? Because he was paid millions to underachieve?

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
