Trade a RB to the Patriots for a WR or I will kill Smootsdaddy

With Kevin Faulk blowing out his knee the Patriots are stuck with pure poo at RB.

Sammy Morris and Fred Taylor are made of glass and neither is really the perfect fit for the spread offense hybrid runner role.

After they blow out their groins the Patriots will be stuck with Benjarvus Green Ellis, a seventh tier running back with no discernible skills from a third tier SEC school, and Danny Woodhead who looks like he hangs out at AKPantherFan's meth lab.

How f**king hard would it be to trade Tyrell Sutton straight up for like Brandon Tate? Tate is is fast and can run in a straight line which would immediately propel him to second on the depth chart. Plus, he's a Carolina grad, and was one of the most dangerous kick returners in NCAA history.

I mean how in love with Julian Edelman are they? Might they like Mike Goodson? A running back who can pass, catch, return kicks, and has unmatched top end speed?

How hard would these deals really be to pull off? It's not like the team would be adding salary. It'd improve them right now.

    • Irony yes you could say that as long as there is no intent to claim that because he left we all of a sudden got so bad we are losing all the time. Which it seems like you might be trying to imply.  Did we lose something? Yes we did. Was it worth 5 years at 28 mil per? Not to my thinking.

    • First: What do you think the word ‘scapegoating’ means? Because what I said was not scapegoating.  They are two different players playing two different roles.  I simply said two things about Burns, if I recall. One, basically he is a one dimensional player that is doing well because they have a very strong front in NY.  Two, I was against paying his price because he is a liability against the run. One dimensional and therefore not worth it.  Summing it up: he e is a pass rush specialist, about all I have ever felt about him, and his financial demands made him much less of a value.  IMO.
