The press is "supposed" to be on the side of the reader. They are our eyes and ears and are supposed to represent us when they do interviews or ask questions. That is why they where created.

Indeed. However journalism has degraded to such a point that local reporters are the lapdogs of the teams they follow. They don't have enough job security to write what they want because if they get banned from the facility they're fuged. And sadly the teams CAN ban people from attending their press conferences.

Correctamundo! Start calling out people and holding someone accountable and Jerry Richardson has the ability to effectively blackball a reporter and deny them any access to the team.

And don't think for a minute he wouldn't do it.

JR can't do that. It is against league rules. You can't keep accredited media out of accessibility. If he did that he would have a real problem.

They can chose who does the interviews. They don't have to grant specific interviews. They have the right to decline.

Even should a reporter ask those questions, the response will never be what is wanted.
