The picks we caught today were b/c of the rain. We did come up with a sack & scored a TD. Our o-line still sucks (don't know why, besides the absence of Otah). Clausen will improve over the week & do better. Our running team may come up with better results. Brees is MUCH better than Palmer, lots of great receivers. Our front 7 on D will prevent their RBs from getting much yardage. My prediction: Saints 23, Panthers 10

There are several issues, but the major ones (at least to me) are that our offensive line has severely underperformed and our depth there was overrated. For our team to succeed, we need a strong running game and the line is far from strong at this point. Jeff Otah missing all of our games thus far is part of it, but Jordan Gross playing as badly as he has is the big surprise. Two years ago, the guy was an All-Pro left tackle, now he looks like a turnstile. I'm not sure if has to do with the broken leg he had near the end of last year, but he was one of the few veterans that we would consider dependable. And to quote Denny Green, Matt Moore is not who we thought he was. That's why we're 0-3 and staring 0-4 in the face after this weekend.

The defense hasn't been great, but that was to be expected to have growing pains due to all the young players being forced into the role. If they weren't forced to stay on the field so much because of our offensive ineptitude, I could see them easily being a top 10 unit.
