55 you got replaced with a 55 that is just as good

Not so sure about all of that. The closet resemblance between the two is their numbers. Morgan was one of the best coverage linebackers in the past 10 years, Connor is more of a run stopper and certainly not as fast.

the guy had 25 tackles in the biggest game in the world, alot of people seem to forget how good Dan was when healthy, the other dan would more than likely not even start if davis doesn't get hurt & probably won't start if davis is anywhere near 80% of what he was last year

I believe you... I wanted to open a franchise with one of my frat brothers, but after we did the math and then the economy we realized that we'd be better off sticking to what we know best.

Trust me it prob was the right decision. Everyone in the Restaurant business is hurting right now. You can be successful and still fail in this crazy time. People are very unpredictable also and you never know what they are going to do.

I mean I have watched the Mayflower and the Hungry Fisherman before that close up shop around here and we are still moving forward. Its just cause of our business skills and just down right care that keeps us in business. Both of those stores have mega buying power but they are inconsistent and serve inferior food to ours. Thats whats been the death of both of those franchises around here anyway.

Pretty much. It is such a shame how people so quickly forget important pieces of the franchise's history. Morgan was the man that made the machine go in the early part of the decade. When he played the defense was impenetrable.

I don't understand all of the knob slobbering over Dan Morgan or any former Panthers player for that matter. He was just a football player. He did not find a cure for cancer. He did not end the War on Terror. He did not fix the economy. He was a freakin' football player.

I don't view any of them as royaltly, as some of you do. Why should I? Because he donned my favorite team's jersey for a few years. Whoopty freakin do. He got payed a lot of money to do that. It doesn't mean I should come to his rescue every time someone on an internet message board insults him. He's a man. If he wants to defend himself, let him. If he runs away, who cares.

I really don't understand the views of some on here. If you hold a former, oft injured football player in that high of regards, you should re-examine your life.

You never had a role model in your life I suspect? If you did, they must have really let you down.

By that same token, the military gets paid, our President gets paid...and they have people "knob slobbering" as well, but you don't see me on a related message board trying to figure out why people do it? It is because it is their prerogative.

I do have two role models. My Savior and my Dad. Both had a direct impact on my life. Not someone that has absolutely zero to do with where I am or what I have done in my 32 years.

Still no need to pigeon on others because they have different role models than you, and is judgmental...and I don't think your Saviour would approve, would he?

Let it go. :cheers2:

I can understand if he is someone's role model, but I don't get the all out "Don't talk any junk about Dan Morgan" crap.

    • The Falcons have 2 significant offensive line injuries to start the 2025 season. Right tackle Kaleb Mcgary (who is the blindside protector for Penix since he is left-handed) is going to miss significant time, and it's looking more like it may be all season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-expect-kaleb-mcgary-to-miss-significant-time https://x.com/BKsquared7/status/1959285822236107013. Also, the top backup and swing tackle, Storm Norton (cool name BTW) is having ankle surgery and may miss half the season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-ot-storm-norton-out-6-8-weeks-after-ankle-surgery I don't root for injuries, but its also hard to be too sympathetic given how badly injuries have hit us in recent years. We definitely need to get that W in week 3 for our home opener at BOA. Despite our collective frustration at not being able to attend TC and then having boring preseason games, ultimately the most important objective of the preseason is to enter Week1 healthy, and we have at least done that. Hopefully the depth we think we have at Oline either shines through or isn't needed. Many other teams are in a bad spot with their offensive lines before the season even starts. For once, we aren't in that situation.
    • That roster was billed as a super smart and strong unit for a young QB….until he sucked though.   it didn’t have superstars but it had proven vets that checked well all the safe boxes and it was universally agreed the Panthers were putting him into position to succeed. BY just doesn’t fit a traditional O because he isn’t built like a traditional QB.  And he still doesn’t.   CJ Stroud would have had more success here than Bryce with that cast.   CJ just has the tools that fit the NFL more easily.  Young can find success but I have always argued it would take a Bryce centric plan (which we have never attempted IMO)
    • looks like the Lions and Bangles should forget about the playoffs, trade everyone they can, and start over.
