Jordan Gross, a better Panther

Let's not forget Jordan Gross is in the exact same position as Julius Peppers is. An URFA who could be Franchise tagged and indeed was last year by the Panthers. I don't recall any announcements from Gross at the end of the season in 2007 that he was stomping his feet and leaving. Just came to work this year and did his job.

It would not surprise me at all if he signs a contract early and allows the Panthers to Franchise and trade you know who.

Kudos to Jordan for doing his business in a classy manner (so far).

Jordan has at least acted like he would prefer to stay here. The question is, how much will it cost us? If I remember correctly there were some issues last year as to whether he was worth top left tackle money as he was playing right tackle. This year he was solid at left tackle, earning pro bowl and all pro designations. I think he'll stay here. But, this is business season, and he will demand a lot of cash this year. The team has worked hard, and spent a lot (this year's first round pick) to solidify that o-line. It would be a huge loss if he were to go.

    • Yes, first drive was a good run, a sack and a 3/13 Bryce threw for 9.  Then we punted. 2nd drive - 23 yard deep pass to XL (who caught it) - Great pass by Bryce and good catch by XL 26 yard Chuba run - Great run by Chuba 3 yard Chuba run - moving the sticks 6 yard pass to XL (who caught it again) - moving the stick 26 yard run by Chuba - love a balanced attack!!! great run 1 yard run from Chuba - moving the sticks Incomplete pass by Bryce.  5 yard TD pass from Bryce. - Good job by Bryce in the red zone. This was a very good series early in the game where Bryce, Chuba and the team played very well. No turnovers by Bryce.  Chuba had a fumble in the 3rd. Next series: 4 yard run 24 yard pass 15 yard run 8 yard pass 1 yard run 2 yard run 3 yard pass 4 yard run 5 yard penalty Field goal good.   Bryce did not have a very good 2nd half but not horrible either.  He didn't make any mistakes that cost us the game.  He had a 24 yard scramble and a TD pass to Moore called back because because of an illegal formation. That was and is positive progress so soon after he was benched.  All around good team win and while Bryce didn't ball out he had a number of good throws and scrambles and didn't turn the ball over.
    • The defense doesn’t even matter, really.  When we are down 3 scores before anyone has taken their first sip of Gatorade because the offense won’t stay in the field, what does any of it matter?
