No coaching changes

I think you're just failing at reading what he is saying.

We're not saying Fox will be fired. We're saying that the reason he won't is not what you said in your first post in this thread:

You clearly indicate it is because of money issues. JR has demonstrated a willingness to take a hit financially. Further, firing Fox now does not mean he hires another coach mid season (almost guaranteed that wouldn't be the case...). Instead, he is sticking with Fox for other reasons (loyalty, respect, lack of care, who knows).

Does that make our position more clear?

Also, Fox isn't the only coaching change that coulda happened.

I'm glad someone understands. lol.

note: "take a hit financially" meaning in the short term. A long term contract at this point is different and I think he was avoiding those this offseason; in fact, I think it is more likely that IF JR is money conscious he woulda kept Fox and fired him mid season (right about now) if he felt he needed to make a change. That would have allowed him to get a free test drive out of an internal person he thought could do the job, while also avoiding having to work out a new contract. Dunno if people make more when internally promoted on a temp basis, but yeah.

If he fired Fox and moved say Meeks or Davidson to Head Coach that guy is going to get more money and he is still going to pay Fox.

Consider that.

Jerry isnt going to spend the money to fire Fox. Fox didnt quit because he wants his money. Both sides are stacking their dollars.

The counterpoint of him paying Jake to leave is a completely different issue.

Consider that and re-read what I have said.

I'm still convinced Fox is micromanaging the offense, thus, it is not all Davidson. I think we're seeing Fox's offense, not Davidson's. This would explain the "our staff is fine" statement. Of course he would say that. His staff isn't the one screwing up. He is. He knows if he fires Davidson, it wouldn't change anything and then his head would be on the chopping block.

Fire Fox, promote Meeks to HC and see what happens.

Ok, then why hasn't JR, owner of a NFL franchise worth over $1 billion, done what you are proposing yet? The guy is clearly not and idiot.

because he doesn't think firing Fox right now would help the team at all.

edit: I'd do what XLightsOutX says, but I'm not JR.

JR also may be considering loyalty to his coach, respect for not wanting to remove him mid season, etc. I dunno.
