The better question: How can anyone justify Clausen over Moore?

Only play Clausen has made was during his standard scramble.....and a busted play where NO gave us a charity play. Not impressive at all.

that 4th down play to Gettis doesn't mean anything. Clausen gave us no chance....see what occured after that.

Both plays are examples of why Clausen stinks. That is what David Carr does. Bails on plays and looks to throw on a scramble. That isn't running this offense. He ain't ready.

Five-step drop and sitting in the pocket til a sack is "running this offense?" Oh, OK. By all means then Moore is better.

Screw this garbage, you're going to point out why you think Clausen sucks no matter what I say and what facts I use and I'm going to point out why I think Moore sucks. Just treading water now.

Clausen simply does suck. Saying Clausen sucks doesn't mean Moore doesn't. Clausen simply sucks worse. Matt Moore at least understands what needs to be done....he just hasn't been able to execute. That is what Moore doesn't suck as bad as Clausen.

Sorry, but that is what it is. Moore sucks. Clausen sucks even worse. Now you can argue why a QB who sucks worse should start and that could be the right call.....but Clausen is not better. Lightning might strike some people if they aren't careful around here.

I bet Colt goes up against Pitt and shows a few more flashes than Clausen has thus far. Clausen looks like an undrafted rookie FA....but a bad one...not a 07 Moore one.

Did you actually watch the first two games of the season?

Moore was horrific week 1. We all know that. He was then pulled from a winnable game in week 2. That is what I watched. Moore should not have been pulled in that week 2 game.

a blunder by the coaching staff is what I see. Have you not watched Moore's entire career....Clausen is not better than that. Clausen has not even hinted he is better than that.

He has several times and you continually ignore that.

And as a 4 year guy with all those wins under his resume, outplaying Jake etc. When this has been Moore's team Moore has clearly not been a better QB than a rookie who you all claim is a "project". Moore has peaked as a player imo he is what he is.

JC is a rookie that many wasn't expecting to see come in and be OROY we just want to see promise from him week to week. Everyone can see he's struggling (even supporters) but to act like he hasn't shown a few flashes in preseason and in the regular season so far is really blind. Like you all claim us to be when we can point out he's struggling but he's a rook. You all must be expecting more from him NOW than the JC "supporters" with how you all act.

and again, your arguement is basing everything off of 1 game from Moore.

Carolina messed up in handling there QB position to start of the year. That is all we know. Moore was pulled in week 2 when he should not of been.

So you wouldn't classify Moore's game vs Tampa as bad?

6/16 - 125 yards - 37.5 CMP% - 1 TD - 1 INT

His TD came on a 5 yard pass to Smith who did the rest with YAC.

They pulled Moore because he wasn't winning us the game.

lol he has played 8 quarters this season sorry. moore was pulling the the 4th quarter after he prove he couldnt win. so, please stop making stuff up to make it seem that Moore wasnt given a fair shot cause he was.

I am saying the game was unfinished. Fox literally claimed a winnable game was not winnable.

Fox should have stuck w/ Moore. QBs go through rough spots. QBs can also have nice 4th quarters to make up for shotty play early. We have seen Moore do that before as well.

Wrong. Moore has proven he can win. Moore played like ass week 1. You don't pull Moore week 2 in that scenario. You don't pull a QB b/c of 5 quarters of bad play that had shown what Moore had.......you don't pull a QB that has 5 bad quarters of play, had shown what Moore had, and was quietly becoming a leader on this team.

He wasn't given a shot. Fox and company messed up. Maybe he would continued to spiral downward....but Fox clearly messed up.

Right. I guess the point I'm arguing is when you say Moore was yanked after one bad game.. that simply isn't the case. He was yanked after two of them. Clausen had us in the Saints game, but would you classify that as a good performance?

I'm not even sure who should start anymore, but Moore and Clausen are a push right now in terms of performance and W/L results.. and one's a rookie.

    • Love the Freeling pick even more after watching his pressers. Dude is sharp and definitely seems to have the right mentality. I loved hearing how personal he took having a bad game with a torn labrum and instead of seeing that as the reason for his bad game and not changing anything, it motivated him to work even harder. Such a great pick, we finally got our all pro level LT for the next decade and now we can move Ickey to RT or guard with no hurt feelings due to his injury. Second favorite pick is probably Brazzell. He said he false started on his 40 and it cost him probably 0.04 seconds, so he’s more of a 4.33 guy rather than 4.37. Really Randy Moss lite. I didn’t know anything about him prior to drafting him and first highlight reel I saw of him I immediately thought he looked like Moss. Then I saw the measurables and was like yep. Then I see that he’s drawn that comparison by many scouts and analysts. If he can add consistency and play to the level of his highlights every play then we got an incredible value.
    • During his three years at UGA he only allowed 5 sacks. He is only 21 and is on an upward trajectory. He's a great athlete that was good basketball player in high-school.  His height (76% how is this only 76%???? these guys are giants now), hands (81%), span (99%), speed (96%), quickness (10 yd. 86%), and explosiveness (vert. 96%, broad 97%) are all outstanding.  When we took Freeling, Fano, Mauioga, Proctor, and Miller were all off the board so we could have drafted Iheanachor or Lomu instead or waited to the second or third round to take Bell, Tiernan or Barber or wait even longer.  A lot of these tackles (including the first two taken) project to right tackle or guard in the NFL and that's not what we needed now.  Freeling has some sloppiness to clean up in his run blocking, but he's young and getting better.  We can let him get experience behind Walker and Moton knowing if he has to replace one of the two this year, his pass blocking won't get Bryce killed. Icky's not coming back from that injury as a nfl starting left tackle and Moton is in the twilight of his career.  If Walker has a great year, we will have to pay him a lot and if he is medicore we would want to let him walk.  Getting a LT on a rookie contract is going to help a lot with the cap.
    • It was cool but they have done this at least in recent years unless I am imagining it
