Trick or Treat

Has anyone found which night is trick or treat night this year? I would hope the 30th since that's a Sat night rather than Sun night for the kiddies sake. I'll be taking my 8 month old for her first night out in her strawberry costume.

I would say probably Saturday but I would ask around your neighborhood and see what everyone else is doing. Im sure it probably differs and you might even get them on both nights

This is what my wife said too.

She was pretty adamant about it, so we're doing the candy thing on the 31st, but god help anyone who shows up during the game.

There's nothing saying that you cant trick or treat for a while and come back early. I'm not sure how having it on Saturday is any better than having it on Sunday anyway.

My kid is 9 and we don't stay out past 7:30-8. She has braces and cant eat half the candy anyway. We get back home, take a bath brush teeth and still is in bed on time.

I never heard it was about children since halloween happens more on weekdays then weekends since well there are more weekdays than weekends

What I heard from my wife here in redneck Georgia was that since it is a Satanic holiday it should not be on a Sunday!!

I think we should change all the holidays to the Saturday before the actual holiday for convenience.

It really unnerves me that people want to change the days on which holidays are celebrated.

Fayetteville/Cumberland County has chosen Saturday. Not surprising, they have been consistent with that policy every time Halloween has fallen on a Sunday since I was a little boy.

Well then I guess you'll have to be unnerved. Another reason not wanting on Sunday is due to the large amounts of alcohol required to tolerate Panther games this year. Oh well, guess I might be watering a lot of neighborhood shurbs then.
