I could just keep dumping on this poor excuse for a team all night, but I don't want to use up all my material this early.

1 down 81 to go, I may just wait to see something in a box store that looks like it's worthy of my attention before I sacrifice another 2 hours of my life watching a JV team get slapped around.

Technically we got Diaw and Jackson.

My problems with the FO started this offseason. The Chandler trade was the single dumbest f*cking move I recall in about 10 years or more. To trade away your most talented guy at a position of need with no backup plan, only to get back more salary over the next 3 years... f*cking pathetic.

Then I see guys like Bayless and Ramon Sessions out there. Shaq killing it last night. And we've done nothing. Wait, I'm sorry we SIGNED DOMINIC F*CKING MCGUIRE AND SHAUN I'LL PLAY WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT LIVINGSTON.

We may as well trade Diaw for Calderon straight up.

I understand LB likes a certain kind of player but I've always thought a good coach should be able to adjust to the talent he has.

We thought we had an ace with that Dampier contract, but nobody wanted it. Higgins even bragged about how that was the most valuable trade chip in the market...

....ahhhh didn't get to watch the game, but after reading this entire thread....i'm assuming its a good thing I didn't watch. Real question. Who's season looks more depressing right now Panthers or Bobcats.

By the way Bill Simmons, writer for ESPN, pretty NBA savvy said the Cats were top five teams you don't want to have their roster for the next five years going forward. Can't say I disagree with him, and with our terrible drafting skills, there is little light at the end of the tunnel

i dont see why you guys are blasting Nazr. about 85% of centers in the NBA are garbage. Haywood and Chandler didn't do much and Nazr had 10 points 4 boards while playing less than 20 minutes.

problem was the mavs simply had a better team. we can't score wiith teams like that that can play defense too. Wallace and Augustine missed open shots all game. Tyrus Thomas needs to play 40 minutes a night, he's high energy high production on both ends of the court.

Jax and TT only played 30 minutes, that's suicide. Need them out there the entire game.

I know the Bobcats lost and everything but in my opinion they didn't look terrible. They had some stupid turnovers that led to easy points and I think that was the main problem. It isn't their fault that Dirk couldn't friggin miss last night. What he go like 13-15 or something like that? It wasn't even like he was just shooting layups the whole game either. Most of his shots were jumpers.

Another thing that I have been noticing lately is an NBA wide thing. Is the ball slippery this year or something? I don't think I have ever seen so many players fumble around with the ball. It wasn't just the bobcats game I recall it in the Boston vs Miami game and the Lakers vs Rockets game.

      Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.

      If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
