Give 28 the ball 14 times and you get a win.

Honestly Stewart did little to nothing today. If I were the coach I would put in Williams more and Stewart less right now. Williams is really doing a better job both in running the ball and pass protection. Stewart is not playing well this year and it is obvious that williams is much better so far. Neither did great this week but Williams seems more explosive right now.

#28 is an amazing young RB. But his production has been lacking, as well as D Williams. I believe the biggest reason is we always use to run through the right side of the line, Otah. And now we have been running through the left side, which is the pass protection side. So the holes just aren't opening up like they use too.

Jesus Otah, are you not better yet?

only reason he got 14 carries was because the offense managed to stay on the field longer. his 14 carries wasn't a key to the game. all it did was show that the offense didn't suck so bad against a bad team. they completed passes, converted 3rd downs, minimized turnovers, and actually controlled the clock for once this year.

our RBs got a whopping 2.2 yards per carry. nothing to celebrate there. more like we won inspite of how badly the run game went. we had to pass more because the run game still isn't working.

Gotta agree. THey were still putting 8 in the box making us beat them with the pass today. The line got little push today and holes closed quickly. The passing game was the whole story today. As for turnovers we did have 3 today (1 int and 3 fumbles-2 lost) so we defnitely still can work on that.

We had 22 first downs- 2 run, 4 penalty, 16 passing

You posted this before the game and I posted it after the game. I realize that today his 14 carries had little to do with the outcome of the game but its still a cool stat. I started this in response to your thread. I wasn't trying to steal your spotlight with this. lol

    • It's rare enough for a running back to tear the same ACL twice. There's not much of a sample size on the recoveries. And of course Dobbins has missed a lot of time--he was injured twice. That number will drop as his career continues, and even if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with the prior injuries. Dobbins just started and played well for a playoff team all year until he was injured by a hip-drop tackle. Surely his ACL recoveries didn't contribute to his completely random foot injury caused by an illegal tackle? Again, I'm confused why everyone is being so definitive that there's 'very little chance' of any meaningful contribution ever when the greatest counterpoint ever played for us. Thomas Davis tore the same knee over and over again and was basically fine. As for the roster-building stuff, we'll see what happens with Chuba and Dowdle at the end of the year, but Etienne's not going to factor into this. Either Brooks comes back, in which case we've already seen more from him than we have from Etienne, or he doesn't. But Etienne's not forcing him off the team. If anything, Etienne's current role is his absolute floor.
    • Then I would assume disingenuous. Why on earth would you consider this an "exciting" time to be a Panthers fan? Let me ask this, how old are you and how long have you been an NFL fan?
    • An ESPN writer had a good breakdown of teams that were likely to come back to earth(KC and Redskins were two of them) based on outlier results in 2024 in close games. I think that has a lot to do with it. Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts
