I'll attempt to but Im kind of on the fence about it so dont destroy me, DP, Im merely playing devil's advocate.

1) One situation that comes to mind is a dirty play. Yep that damn ref didnt even see it and just went on about his business, well I'm gonna throw this flag and make him look at it. Let it be a reminder to the ref that that Homonowski fug took a cheap shot that was about to be overlooked.

1a) Hey! but they just called the same damn thing on us and the ref must not have seen it. Well lets toss the flag and make sure he gets a look at it so that he can owe us one later and maybe get a soft call for us that otherwise wouldnt have been called.

2) Well, we need to take a time out anyway, fug it lets challenge something while were doing it. It will be like an extended time out for us to chat with Matt and calm him down a bit.

3) Did Godfrey hold onto that pick before it hit the ground? I dunno but he's seems to think he did so I gotta get his back and toss the flag. In the long run he'll know that Im the one he sticks up for him. He'll play with more confidence?

Hmm this was pretty sloppily put together but hopefully you get what Im saying. Im kind of one the fence about it. I think the only time you should toss it would be reason #2, but reason #3 may be ok.

. . Of course, you toss it when you think youre gonna be right and the outcome is worth it, but these other scenarios could hold water.

Don't most challenges come from someone upstairs watching the replays and relays that to Fox? Who is our guy upstairs, any idea?
