The real difference in the game

It's funny how things change when a few penalty's go our way huh? Not saying that they weren't legit but they were actually called this time and thus helped extend our drives.

Now the exact same play calling from weeks 1-5 is 1000 times better all of the sudden. People act like there was anything different. They were the same calls but they were actually executed this time. The offensive line picked up and gave Moore a chance to make plays. And about Matt Moore, he has shown time and time again that if you give him time he will make the play. He is the best "Fox QB" on the team right now. He's the only one that seems to be able to handle the 3rd down pressure we put on ourselves and make conversions.

Moore had a great game no doubt but the ball bounced our way for once. That didn't happen in previous weeks. I'm not saying that our team doesn't have flaws but nothing has gone our way all season.

Thank You!!!

I said this same thing in a another thread.

Alot of things bounced our way that didn't in other games this year.

Really their was only 2 games we had no chance in. Tampa,Chicago.

NYG = Matts 3 int's in the red zone and Jason Klye bad snap during the punt cost us that game. If it went the other way we might have won.

Cinncy = J stew and Goodson fumble on drives that had a chance Jimmy Int in the red zone Def. missing out on atleast 3 pick 6 chances. 2-3 of these things go our way we win.

NO = Lafell drops Dwill cut back mistake Steve not getting hurt in the 3rd qrt. We might win this game if some of these things went our way.

Point is we are a team this year that has small room for error.

Very few teams can win if everything goes against them particularly if the teams are evenly matched.

Were the penalties the difference? Any team that commits 11 penalties puts them at a disadvantage. But I would think that the pass interference calls were legitimate. Would we have caught the balls? Who knows. But in the end I am going to be happy for the win and not dissect it.

Do the reasons we won really matter? Seems to me that a win is a win no matter how you get it.

    • Pytor kochetkov assigned to Chicago for conditioning stint. Wonder if he gets playing time in the playoffs if Bussi or Freddy flounders
    • What specific LT at 19 are all of the OT Stan’s wanting? Be specific. All have issues and are not guaranteed to improve the OL.. The chances of one of these LT’s who are projected at 19 (Proctor, Lomu) being a bust is much higher than a guy like Lemon/Concepcion imo. Do you really want to draft a kid who has weight struggles along with lateral movement issues? And the other who was a shitty run blocker vs Big 12 competition? Morgan and Co. want to see how Rasheed Walker plays.. They also want to see how Icky’s rehab goes.. There’s a lot of  “wait and see at OT”  We don’t have the luxury for our 1st round pick being a backup. We lack top end talent. Morgan and the others have made it known they want to win now. For that reason, I’m almost positive we punt on OT in the first this year and worry about it next year in the first round if need be.    Thieneman would be ideal. He’s a natural “center field” safety with great coverage skills. For the posters who want trade up for Downs…Do you realize he struggles in coverage? He’s more of a box safety. We already have two of those players.. I wouldn’t mind trading in front of the Vikings for the Thieneman though.. Next need would be DT, but I don’t see the value there at 19.. Same with edge. WR at #19 is very realistic. Who would improve this team more than Lemon/Concepcion? You could argue a slot CB, but the value isn’t great there either. People tend to forget the Seattle Seahawks game.. Yes BY sucked, but no one was getting open.. We could use a quick savvy route runner to beat man coverage. TMAC and Coker are great, but consistently creating separation vs Man Coverage is not their strength.
    • Freddie owned this game. My 1st star.
