What's it going to take for people to finally give our secondary some credit? They've been highly ranked for the past two seasons. They don't give up a lot of big plays. They cover well and cause turnovers. Gamble, Marshall, Munnerlyn, Godfrey and Martin are a pretty darn good group.

Not saying they aren't though I'm not exactly the president of Marshall's fan club (or Godfrey's, for that matter).

But seriously, every secondary needs at least some pass rush to be effective. Put Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie out there with no pass pressure and see if their production doesn't decline. I can pretty much guarantee you that while they may still be good, they'll suffer.

But your gaudy defensive passing statistics are terribly inflated by that Chicago game, a game where Collins was 6-16 for 32 yards and 4 INT's, and you still lost 23-6?

Without that, you're giving up 57.2% completions an 8 TD to 6 INT ratio, and 76.5 QB rating ...

That makes your passing defense about on PAR with ours ....

I told you what we have done in the last 4. That is recent. That is what matters heading into games.

Take out the Bears game from the last 4.....and we still are allowing an average of less than 200 passing yards, 3TDs to 4 INTs. Your point?

I know that Bradford has never even hit a 90 QB rating.....and the majority of his games have been against teams that rank in the bottom half in pass defense.

if it makes you feel better about your chances to cherry pick games out....so be it. Carolina under Meeks has consistantly been a top unit against the pass.

the only thing the Chicago game shows you is that a rookie QB and a cast of all rookie WRs couldn't win despite a defense dominating. You don't get to face that all rookie squad.

Didn't Anderson almost put up 300 yards on the Rams, while Shaun Hill had a 220+ yard, 3 TD game? I'm not sure the Rams defense would have held the lowly backup qb of the Bears to 200 yards, let alone 29 yards.
