Don't jinx.

Wanna know one quick way of this teaming being even worse? Imagine a new kicker or rookie kicker.....*shivers*

I hate having to carry 3 kickers on the team, honestly. If a reliable kicker with a big leg for kickoffs was available, I'd take him in a minute. Baker shouldn't be safe either.

We actually had some decent ball movement against the Bucs, but Clausen wasn't able to get it into the end zone. He looked improved but not nearly enough, though no turnovers, no failed handoffs means at least he is taking care of teh ball... last play of the game he got a concussion cause our O-coordinator decided to try TWO QB SNEAKS with Jimmy "IM THE SMALLEST MAN ON THE TEAM" Clausen.

So Clausen may be out, Pike looks... well, we'll see how he looks, and now we have a 31 year old career not-even-a-backup on our practice squad (or just elevated)...

True but I don't think it's fair to imply Clausen himself couldn't get it into the endzone, just look at the redzone playcalling.

They move the ball down the field well and then completely abandon what works... EVERY TIME!

That last drive was a perfect example (no garbage D btw it was still a close game). They moved the ball right down the field... 70+ yards in around 2 mins... and then they go back to running it and a few QB sneaks. I mean, CMON!!! Not only did they get stuffed but Clausen got a concussion. It's beyond ridiculous.

Really, no garbage D?

Up by two TDs and a two point conversion with no timeouts and it's still a close game?

    • The team signed undrafted rookie JJ Weaver from Kentucky. The 25-year-old Weaver played six seasons in college (with injury waivers), and had 21.5 sacks. He was a three-time team captain for the Wildcats. To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers released outside linebacker Amare Barno. Barno, a sixth-round pick in 2022, tore his ACL late in the 2023 season and began last year on the physically unable to perform list. He had 3.0 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 29 games. Sad to see. He seemed to have a lot of potential when he was drafted. Injuries really derailed him though.
    • Ok so how does this make sense for Blake?  Honestly I like it for us.  I’m really high on Blake’s future like I’m sure the Canes FO is.  If he continues along the path he’s on, we’ll have a top 6 forward on a KK contract.
    • Barno out   JJ Weaver on I really liked Weaver his last two years at Kentucky. Don't expect him to make the roster, but a decent camp body nonetheless.
