well, from what ive read, tarantulas are harmless to humans. and they eat scorpions. im seriously thinking about trying to catch one to see if the 'docile' 'harmless' part is true. i used to hate spiders btw.

First time I woke up with one of those fugers crawling on me and died of a heart attack while falling down the stairs... not harmless.

Holly sh*t!!! This is the scariest thing I have ever read on here! I would be long gone. Not a fan of spiders or scorpions. Especially really large ones that you need to worry about getting in your shorts and shoes.

Not going to lie. I don't have much of a fear response. It takes a lot to actually scare me anymore. Snakes, wasps, darkness, being lost, near traffic accidents, friends playing practical jokes. No effect.

But for whatever reason, I am a nearly paralyzed arachnophobic.

And just reading this thread is giving me an anxiety attack.

the thing about the scorpions is that they look slow, but them fuggers can haul ass when they want to.

Yeaaaaa, thats a BIG ol' Fu_k that! My wife flips over the spider-crickets around here. No way in hell would she put up with that...

that one was. the other few are under stuff like the back and side decks.

the one in the pics was found after me and son got home from grocery shopping. i got outta my car and thought it was a mouse at first. it was just hanging out in front of the side steps. they're pretty fast too. i tried to pick it up w a stick and it hauled ass under the steps.
