MNF - Vick vs. McNabb pt.II

True, but he already was a pro bowl caliber QB who'd won playoff games. Dudes on this board were treating him like he was a bum that wasnt even good enough to be a 3rd string backup in this league. Nobody knew he'd play this well, but I knew he could start and be a problem in this league.

I agree. Alot of people thought he was a bum, and would never play QB on a high level. But theres not doubting it now. The guy is an all-pro, and will get paid like one after the season.

I was one who said he didn't have the touch to throw consistantly.

I was also one who said his problems where mental as well.

One thing I was right about, he admitted to being lazy in Atl.

I was wrong about his passing ability.

Like I said, I hope he uses a bit of the fat contact he is about to get to save the lives of some animals and help end dog fighting. If/When he does that, the haters really should gtfo.

sorry, but Vick has never played like this...in his life

i was unaware your name was Zod :D

just saying that a lot of people were hating on that he would never again play NFL caliber football on this board. I never said you were one of them, its really just comical in my opinion that our issues offensively has started at the qb position and Vick is playing out of his mind

Not saying the Panthers would ever sign him, it is simply ironic

Still would not have him.

Would rather lose than be a loser.

I will never justify what he did, but that said he did his time and has proven thus far to be an upstanding citizen and has revitalized his career. I believe in second chances and thus far Vick has made the most of his. Until he proves me otherwise I don't have any problem supporting him

He's been involved in that since he got out. Id like to see PETA and Animal Rights groups to stop using his name at this point. They've exploited Vick long enough. There are other people who are out there that are still involved in dog fighting that should be bigger targets for those groups rather than someone who's been convicted and done his time already.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
    • This is the Buc's division to lose.  We come out on top only if the wheels come off if Tampa.  I agree we can be--and should be--better than the Saints and likely the Falcons.  A 9-8 season would be nice, but it isn't great.  It's mediocre and that something the Panthers haven't been in nearly a decade, but would be reason to celebrate.  Heck, the Steelers will likely fire Tomlin over a 9-8 season because they are tired of being mediocre.
    • First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level.  I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
