I can't determine if this is sarcasm or stupidity.

I'm talking about his lack of creativity and his "just line up and beat your man" mentality. He doesn't design plays or schemes to free up players etc.

He just runs basic, vanilla, easy to figure out strategies that fool no one.

Fox's style is like trying to fight a modern war using British tactics during the American Revolution. Form a straight line and head straight towards death.

Well, that is going to happen, I mean he did take us to the Superbowl and another NFC championship game. But the rollycoaster that has been the last 9 years is getting nauseous, and anyways we are pulling up to the loading and unloading deck.

This is true.

As good as he was early on in his tenure for this franchise (the SB run, 2nd NFCC game), some coaches times just run out with an organization. Not trying to compare the coaching ability, but look at Shanahan in Denver. He ended up drying out towards the end of his tenure and people got tired of the shtick.

Will be Fox' 4th the losing season out of 9. Two 8-8s, and 3 playoff seasons. If that isn't the definition of mediocrity, then I don't what is.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
