Peppers

Im happy for Julius. John Fox never wanted him or has stood behind him. He deserves to play for a better organization that isnt gonna ditch him the second he slacks off during the playoffs. Julius should look into coming into the NFC North. He's played well against their teams, and chances are he'll receive better coaching (a la Favre in Minny) to take his game to the next level than he's gonna get playing for Fox. Fox is a dumbass, and doesnt have the ability to coach a talent like Julius.

That is all.

Even though this thread is a shot at KT and I don't understand how he's able to troll all of you so effectively, I was talking to a buddy about Pep today. It was about his production, taking plays off, his pay, etc.

The way I see it, on average Peppers takes over one game a year. It might be a combination of games, but overall his athleticism allows him to tack one win every year on his shoulders. Now if you're an owner, is it worth 16 million to one player every year to guarantee at least one win? I think it is.

  • 2 weeks later...

Urlacher had 17 combined tackles today.

Pep had 4...

Urlacher is the MLB. Pep is a DE. You do not expect the MLB to have more tackles than the DE?

No, of course you don't.

Pep did have another sack today. You don't mention that, of course.

The Bears won. Bottom line. Chicago Front Office, Team and Fans are all very happy to have Pep in the Bears uni. 'Nuff said, vajayjay-hurting ex-girlfriend

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
