This isn't the first time he's gotten trucked though. It happened earlier in the season as well. One I definitely remember, but I think it happened more than once before today.

But how many times has he laid a big hit this season? Many. Point being he's not soft. A pussy would be a player that sees a larger playing coming at him and tries to dive at his ankles with one arm. That's not how Godfrey rolls. He still has tons of work to do in pass coverage, but he's not soft.

He was standing still in his lane with Hillis having a full head of steam and well over 30 lbs weight advantage. What do you expect? DBs are having to tackle Hillis the entire first 1st - that's the problem. Maybe if we had some DTs that could consume blockers and not allow the OL to smother the LBs....

You can retort with his contributions but if youre not going to give Godfrey that benefit as well...

      What else should they do? Sign a different, younger journeyman free agent QB? Draft another QB? Dalton already knows the offense made this team look competitive at times last year, lets not forget that. He could step in and win a game or two if called upon. And this is Bryce's make or break year. If Bryce sh*ts the bed this year he isn't getting his 5th year option picked up and they'll probably be in the market for another QB in the first round next offseason. So what difference does it make? You think signing someone like Mitch Trubisky is going to make a big difference over Andy Dalton?

      Seriously. I certainly hope that Sanders is TE1. I don't know that he's the long-term solution there but I'm pretty damn certain that Tremble definitely isn't.
