Mike Goodson

the board is fickle. Stewart could run for 170 and 2 TDs Sunday and then a large percentage of those saying to trade Stewart would then claim DWill should go.

People act like he is garbage now for some reason....I don't get it. The OL was playing horrible and was making a power RB dance behind the OL w/ no holes. Give Stewart holes and he does what he did last week.

And while Goodson is definantly improving, he is no where close to the best back on this team, or ready to be so. He's far behind stewart and obviously dwill, but people that are ready to annoint this guy and trade away a back are crazy.

I think you're underrating Goodson's skills.

I am pulling for Goodson but anointing someone a legit NFL back after a couple games is too optimistic for me. They were anointing Ryan Torain in Washington a couple weeks ago for a similar start and now he is fighting to keep his job. Things change quickly in the NFL and it is a lot easier to run for 100 yards when the OLine actually opens holes as they did last weekend. For every newcomer NFL back I can name 10 that didn't make it. I hope Goodson isn't one of these guys, but you have to take it with a grain of salt.

People on the Huddle are also anointing Sutton as starter material and trade bait after his preseason debut. These same people thought Moore and Jarrett were our future. I heard the same talk when Goings took over for a couple weeks and also when Fred Lane stepped in as well.

    • Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft
    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
