Wanting the team to lose is actually a great attitude

We are all 'fans' of the Carolina Panthers. Some fans are looking at the long-term success of the Panthers because this season is already lost and the benefit to winning meaningless games is zero. Long term success of the Panthers would be to get the best QB to come out in the past 20 years. I am hoping the Panthers lose out to get that #1 overall pick. And it's not because I am not a panthers fan.. it's because I AM a panthers fan.

Although I agree with you, I promise you JR looks at this team from a business/NFL perspective #1 and fan/team perspective #2. It's easy to say losing is what is best for the team now, but we weren't all saying that at the beginning of the season.

In my opinion at least, if you want Luck and the #1 pick, just keep your mouth shut and wait it out. Talk about other areas that can be improved upon (reasonably). But don't sit there and root for the guys to lose though, only to turn around and bitch a storm when they do lose.

Way, way, way too many posters on this board talk HELLACIOUS amounts of poo about Clausen, Fox, Davidson, DWill, JStew, Beason, everybody. We're talking downright hateful nonsense. Proudiddy, who I'm sorry to put your name out there, is a prime example. The man has been posting hellfire and brimstone about Clausen at every single chance he can get. It's like Clausen took his momma out for a nice meal only to let her intercept the check because he was too afraid to step up to the cash register. It's almost like a crusade, and he's not the only one who posts garbage like that. There are plenty of other people here on the Huddle that are giving themselves a aneurysm over some things as if they're trying to force themselves to believe that this one thing that they are so vocal about is such a key issue that by ridding ourselves of it immediately will fix everything.

I don't want the team to lose. I want the team to win, because that's what cures everything in football. I want them to draft great talent and develop them with an even better coaching staff. I don't buy into individuals, especially unproven individuals.

If most of the people on here that are salivating so much over Luck would be willing to get kicked in the junk every week he loses a game (if we get him and if he doesn't adapt IMMEDIATELY like so many here are assuming), I wouldn't mind the "WE SHOULD BE LUCK-Y LOL" crap so much.

But meh, nothing I can do about it D: Only thing I suppose would be to do what I have been doing: Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, and trying not to let my heart dictate my opinions/outlook instead of my head. If the team has the #1 pick and Luck declares, woot. If we don't get the #1 spot, then I'm sure will be developing still.
