Edwards pick may be a great one now.

I wouldn't go that far. I like Gettis and Lafell, but I'm not ready to crown them #1 and #2 receivers.

Also, the 33rd or 34th pick in the draft still isn't worth a potential project slot receiver.

That being said, If AE turns out to be a great slot receiver, Wes Welker type, I will retract my statement. lol

Just trying to find a positive with that pick. Come on guys, glass half full.

Yeah, but trying to find positive in a pick doesn't mean you have to call it "great". But yes, if AE becomes a starter it will certainly make the situation/pick a little better.

How bout McNabb?

No way he leaves with that major extension he got. Not even the redskins are going to eat all that money.

Edwards has the talent to be great if we have a spot on the roster. Without Smith there will be a spot. Its pure speculation that Smith is gone though.

McNabb is definitely leaving Redskins, and probably with no compensation. He has a 3.x mil. base salary this season, with a bonus coming in the off-season. If 'Skins cut him prior to that bonus (which is the likely scenario), then he is UFA and they have no significant debt to him.

Now, that being said, I'm not high on Carolina dabbling in the 34+ y/o QB market at this point.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
