Those forecasts are based on older models.

The Weather Channel (boo) is still calling for a high of 52 on saturday when the NWS is calling for 33

when will people learn not to use weather.com or accuweather...

NWS discussion is the best. But if you watch the radar and satellite pictures you can see where it is heading. Just remember NC Mountains tear up a snow storm pretty good but rebuilds over Greensboro.

Yea, all 3 models agree it will snow, they just disagree on the timing. Looks like it could start anywhere from 12am xmas morning till that evening. Also the accumulation is anywhere from 3-10" depending on the speed of the storm. According to CO, it hasn't snowed here more than flurries since 1947. Sweet! I'm going to make yellow snow angels for christmas
