I would doubt he is suicidal...those types of people typically act before they speak.

been through depression myself and sometimes it might seem like attention whoring but he could be crying out for someone just to help him get over a bump in the road.

Since you bumped this...

So not only did I message his sister I also messaged him and told him that I'd be willing to listen if he needed someone to talk to but I also told him that I'm not going to listen to someone who is full of pity and has the poor me's without that person being willing to do something about it.

I have not heard back from him or his sister. But his sister did have a few words to say to him on fb for the whole world to see about his status updates. All I can say is wow. She wasn't very nice and it sounds like he is just whoring for attention.

I dunno why people cant just deal with the realities of life and be happy with what they have.

So apparently right after I posted that ^ I heard that he attempted suicide by carbon monoxide. He's alive because he decided to post on fb that he was going to take himself out and people read it, called 911 & sent them to his house, or truck actually. He was unconscious when they got there. I learned he's been living in his truck & has had a ton of issues to deal with for the last several years.

Generally if you are going to offer help offer it unconditionally. Otherwise it really isn't offered.
