A star QB means more to his team than any other player X 3. Who would you rather have, Freeney or P. Manning? Abraham or Ryan? Heck, you could even go back to 2003 for a local example: Delhomme (an undrafted WFL second teamer) or #2 overall draft pick Peppers? Name a dominant team this year that does not have a dominant QB? Atlanta, New England, Philly, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, etc. WHen you need a win, and a player to put the team on his back and take them there, if you are counting on your DE and not your QB, you will lose. Give me 25 TD passes per year over 12.5 sacks.

Yeah, I think if Luck comes out, we could go defense. I mean Peterson would be nice cause Gamble is on his way out apparently. I wouldnt mind trading down for Mallet, or taking AJ Green, because Smith isnt going to be around forever, pair AJ Green with Gettis on the outside, thats some serious field stretching ability. Too bad we dont have a QB to get the ball to them.

I think alot of our offensive struggles rest solely on the offensive coordinator. I think if we get a good mind in here, it will turn around. Im not talking a top 5 offense, but maybe somewhere in the 10-15 range. Pair that with an improved defense, and we will win games.

Indy isnt dominant because there defense blows this year, new england had Brady last year and lost because there D couldnt stop Ray Rice, (but yet flacco completed 4 passes and beat brady) Sanchez is FAR from elite, Rivers is elite and they didnt make the playoffs because of there defense. Eli Manning isnt elite but yet they won a superbowl due to there front 7. Explain Pitts strugles as of late? (besides us) Everyone will tell you its because of Polamalu, the Colts would not have gotten to the superbowl without Bob Sanders...

:smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

Indy- Still controls their own destiny even after losing over half of their team, had 3 Rb's go down, and loss defensive playmakers again... but they are still relevant. 7 or however many Years of 12 wins or more and that's all on Bob Sanders right?? LOL!!!

NE- Let's look at what they're doing this year, and during their 3 superbowls and it's not Brady. Okay. LOL!!! (This is funny)

SD- One year they haven;t made it to the playoffs, but that team is not good, but they were still in it until Sunday thanks to Rivers....

Sanchez and the Jets are an exception to the rules... If you can build a Great defense and running game then you can manage with a decent QB.... But even this year how many Game winning Drives did mark have??? More than a couple.

No one is saying a Franchise QB Guarantees you a Super Bowl.... But it does allow you to be competitive and have a chance year in and year out. That's what all those teams have.... Always relevant deep into the season CONSISTENTLY.

It's like what one ESPN analyst said (I hate siting them). The Dolphins passes on Matt Ryan and took a very very good LT. Falcons didn't draft defense and took Matt Ryan.... One franchise is heading up, the other down... Guess which is which...

Dude I don;t know if you really believe this stuff... But if so it is hilarious. I was :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5: reading your post.

    • Ill just be happy if Tepper doesnt make another locker room appearance the rest of the season.
    • The question I wonder involves putting the cost behind us.      At this point he's here, so does the premium paid even matter anymore? It set expectations no doubt, and they weren't met.  He's been bench-worthy bad, but he's come back and looked first average, above-average to maybe great, and then downright bad again.  Now we're back on a good trend again.  Absolute rollercoaster.   So what level of performance deems him a viable option to hold?  He's looked absolutely incapable of moving an offense at times, and others like a guy you can "Purdy" with some dimes sprinkled in.     So, if he continues on this 2 game trend and shows consistent average to above-average play, we're treading into tricky territory.  Such a big investment but he tops out as a top-15/20 QB option.  It's Alex Smith KC type vibes. Are we going to be sitting at 7-10 come end of season and feel kind of meh? It's right at that fringe of what is worth it.  If he doesn't re-sh*t the bed, we may be best suited to go BPA next draft and see the 2026 progression.  And that will be the final make/break year.  What I can see if he doesn't fall apart and things look manageable: He may end up being the average precursor to finding the great talent that you can build the team around.  How Alex Smith was in KC.  They built that with him (not around him) until they eventually got Mahomes.  Heck, think back to Trent Green/Warner.  So, BY can manage, we may get some success, but if a stud comes along, we bail and roll with the new gun.
    • We win 2 games largely due to historic rushing from our backup RB we signed in free agency and now the huddle is regarded as the most toxic place on the internet because not everyone shares the same opinion that Bryce Young has proven himself to actually be a long term starting QB yet. This place was just as ugly through the prime Cam years. People complained about him even when he was producing and we were winning the division. Things were just as ugly through the Jake years. Sometimes people would get so irate and fed up with him they would literally be calling for his head. How about we just give eviscerating one another a breather and see how this team and Bryce look on the road. Nothing anyone can say is going to make a difference until then.
