What would Luck's jersey number be?

Cam Newton is the #1 player at stealing laptops.

Whew, I want him to be the leader of the franchise.

**waits for someone to defend it, by saying he bought a stolen laptop. However, when the cops came in he threw it out the window. **

Yes, charges were dropped but only because he went through a pretrial program.

That's pretty weak for a reason not to pick somebody. Because as we all know Steve Smith was an angel when he was drafted. I don't mean to side with KT on this but it certainly does seem that some people are looking for excuses to not cheer for Newton.

Im just saying, I would rather have the QB who has a 4.0 at Stanford, and not one who has constantly been surrounded by controversy.

Thats the tone you get out of this fanbase. They demonize all black QBs to rationalize not wanting them. If we portray them all as the "devil" or the worst thing that could happen to us, then we dont have to feel guilty or "racist" about not wanting any of them. Im glad people outside of our fanbase are starting to pick up on that and see why we've struggled so much as a franchise to win and remain relevant or entertaining. Dudes cant attack what Cam does on the field, so they attack his character. Thats how I know he's head and shoulders the best QB coming out.

Yeah, cause the leader of a franchises character is meaningless.

But, I am not starting one of these again.

So put ya popcorn back up.

Luck wont be in a classroom out there. And opposing defenses arent gonna lay down because they think Luck can point out Cambodia on a globe. Id rather have the QB thats a proven winner, rather than one who's hyped solely on potential and looks.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
