kudos to everyone who stuck around through this abysmal season

I watched every cringe-worthy minute of every game this season and will be back for more next season regardless of how we do. Today's game was a lot like the beatdown the Pats gave us at the end of the '01 season and I had the same feeling then as I do now that things can only get better for next year.

I knew the team would be bad, in fact I predicted them to go 0-16 before the draft and maintained that prediction after the draft (we actually managed to get worse with the draft which is phenomenal).

Watched every game though. The highlights for me probably would be Gettis and Lafell showing potential, Goodson showing potential, and Stewart playing tough and getting some results late in the year when it seemed the regular stars on offense had quit.

Hopefully next year isn't this bad, but I'm not optimistic until Luck is drafted.

definitely the worst season of panther football i've been apart of, but I'm still here. Still firmly planted on this Panther train. I can't wait to see what goes down in the offseason, and hopefully we never have to go through a season like this again.

It's been tough being a Panther fan in Augusta, GA. The wife and I still love em. Georgia is full of fair weather fans. I've been here 9 years. One would think they never had a team except for the past two years.

Here's hoping for a coach that will allow the offensive cooridinator run the offense. Bring in a vet QB to teach Claussen and "LUCK?"

Wake up the D*** defense. Peppers wanted to leave. Good riddance. Now its time to play hard again.

I too know how the lean years wain on a fan base. It takes true die hard fans, to occasionally carry an organization during these times. I have witnessed how a fan base and city can be divided during those times. I have also felt the joy of over coming those lean years.

A Falcons Fan

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
