Some of you are FU%#^NG nuts.

This thread is addressed to a certain portion of the huddle population. Specifically, those who would wish for 20 months without NFL football just so that they could choose first in the draft again and land Andrew Luck. If that is you....keep reading.

You are fuggin crazy. I'm not being funny. I believe you to be certifiably insane. Check yourself into a mental facility today. You are too far gone. You are a danger to yourself and those around you. You are one step away from writing Andrew Luck's name repeatedly on your wall with your own excriment.

There are two elite QB's in this league. That means 30 teams make do without one. The last 3 superbowls were won by those teams.

To wish for an entire season to be scrapped for one player who may or may not be an elite QB? How can you call yourself a football fan?

Here is your chance to come to your senses before the rest of us laugh at and mock you repeatedly.

:out:

I don't want there to be a lockout, but I can understand why some would. If you want what's best for the long-term success of the team then I suppose some would take it that far. I personally don't see the point if there's no football being played, but that's just me.

If they think drafting Luck guarantees long term success then they have very little understanding of the game. Just ask Dan Marino.

No, its not ok. I am taking a stand here. If you are hoping for a lockout you are not a football fan. Period.

Well, I suppose that depends on if you consider yourself a football fan first or a Panthers fan first. I personally could give a sh** less about the rest of the league. Now the lockout is a whole other issue as it could have a very negative effect on every team INCLUDING the Panthers.

No need to flame, but you should look at it from other points of view. They might think your the one who needs to be put into a mental institution.

They very well may. But the guy on the street corner with the bull horn proclaiming god resides in his own rectum probably thinks I am nuts for not believing it also.

No actual Panthers fan would be willing to go 20 months without a Panthers game for the chance to draft on rookie.

Yeah, a lockout would likely result in them shaking up the draft order somehow anyway. We've got a better shot at Luck playing out the season and going down fighting again. But then we start with the 'do you REALLY want them to win this week?' talk, which is a whole other can of worms.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
