Who am I you ask? I am a no-name occasional poster, mostly lurker, that has been a reading the huddle for about 4 years, and a panthers fan since the team's inception (I was 9 at the time).

I watch every game, kickoff to handshake. I'm foolishly optimistic about the panthers chances every season. I have no shame about it. I entirely left the huddle around week 9 or 10 this season. It ceased being fun or enjoyable. Topics rarely had productive discussion; my internetting time was better spent elsewhere.

Today is a new day. I have returned, and there are many like me. Let hope and optimism reign free. The panthers are super bowl bound.

I too share in this foolish optimism and always getting talked trash to by my friends. The other day they called the Panthers a disgrace to North and South Carolina, I tried to respond but we won our division just two seasons ago...then got demolished by a sub par cardinals team.....fug this poo

    • Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.
    • agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.
    • Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
