Drafting a Friend for Jimmy Jam....

Actually, yes, it is.

Most teams in the mid to late first rounds would trade their 1st and 2nd for the first pick.

Sweet Lord in Heaven, I so with this is one of those time you make a random baseless comment and it turns out magically to be correct.:D

If we could trade down to mid 1st round, pick up a mid 2nd round and possibly another second rounder for next year. Would you be happy with that? I think people always tend to forget to stack up for the following year. Something New England does very well, and sometimes at our expense.

If you want to be a good football franchise and believe in building through the draft, remember to stack up on future draft picks! This idea of comprimising the future for immediate gratification astonishes me. I believe it is something Hurney has a problem with. How many years have we seen future draft picks traded away for a player? Does that ever really work in our favor? I think it has proven to be more of a hinderance than a help.

    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
