I'm a proud dad what can I say?

My youngest who is in 3rd grade brought up a killer report card and she is on 6th grade math level(i said math, not meth jangler) and 7th for reading. Homegirl even got nominated for a scholars program to Wake Forest this summer but at 1500 a wk, we might have to go local. lol

My oldest had a solid report card but she is like me in that she wants to debate everything that comes to her and she might over think from time to time.

awesome lol. My wife is like your wife. She wont take shiit from them when they go to school. I need to start saving for college now man because I dont know where I will be able to get 250k lol

You should have already started her 529 Salty. Take it right off the top so you never even know it is there. The numbers my financial guy showed me for college and grad school for both my kids was stupifying, but we'll get it done. Loans suck.

My daughter (just turned 5) reads elementary school books easily and has basic math down, so her teacher thinks she can skip K.

We aren't sure if that is good socially, so we are still kicking the concept around.

my child will likely have to flip the bill for most of her college. she'll appreciate it more that way though, and I know how to guide her to get scholarships and grants.

Just as you shouldn't count on social security, she shouldn't count on scholarships. I anticipate free money getting tighter and tighter, with need-based stuff being all that is left, and you aint gonna qualify for that.

My youngest just came home with 5 A's and 1 B yesterday... my oldest gets his card next week... he got straight A's last time. They both take school WAY more seriously than I did.
