My youngest just came home with 5 A's and 1 B yesterday... my oldest gets his card next week... he got straight A's last time. They both take school WAY more seriously than I did.

wow with that gene they have in their blood to look at boobs rather than schoolwork u should be very proud of them.

I can dream cant I?

lol

You can, but they don't pay the bills.

We are doing the 6-6-6 (DEVIL!!) style 529 plans.

The first 6 years are more aggresive/speculative, since you have time to make up losses. The next 6 are blended, and the final 6 are very conservative.

straight A's isn't enough any more for scholarships. kids have got to have the complete resume. 3 sports and a couple extra-curricula activities are standard for most seriously considered candidates.

trust me I know. My cousin had straight As, a 1580 on his Sats and still didnt get a scholarship to the school he wanted to go to.

For realz... my older one isn't as interested in the girls yet as the younger one is... the younger one already has a steady gf. I think the older one is interested, just too shy... weird.

too shy? have u not taught him the ways of the woman yet? u sir are slippin.

Dude I have tried... he is resistant... I think maybe he got too much of my wife's side in him.

We were in Myrtle Beach last summer and there was a HS cheer convention... seriously like 5,000 cheerleaders his age there... we were walking around and I saw him checking one little blondie out and I offered him $100 if he went and talked to her and got her name... wouldn't do it. Of course my younger one piped up and said... "I'll do it dad!"

the last girl I dated seriously before my wife was a Morehead scholar. If you don't know its a full ride to chapel hill. She was valedictorian at her HS, played Bball, Vball, and ran track, and held one of the offices on student council during her jr and sr year. She also volunteered in a couple different activities not related to the school.

*dodged college bills with 3 of my 4 oldest*

My oldest got the total free ride because of grades, extra curricular activities and a generous scholarship from our tribe. My bill during her college (including post grad) was like $300 / month.

My next oldest joined the (ugh) Navy and they footed the bill.

My oldest Pantha-Son has joined the Army, Airborne. He leaves in 2 months.

My next Pantha-Son is joining the Army this summer and is going for Airborne Infantry, Ranger Battalion. He wants to keep the family tradition like I and many of my relatives have done. *single tear*

If I go talk to the cheerleaders, will you give me $100?
