A great example of turning a negative into a positive. That's a real class act by the Eagles players! You know not only did they make that young man's day, they gave him a memory he can share with his children and grands and possibly changed his whole outlook on life. It may seem like just a small token now but they probably effected this young man's future.

Sad part is I don't see it ever going away unless the punishment for it becomes severe. Like 0 tolerance, automatic expulsion. Which I do not see happening.

As to the person who suggested expulsion and 0 tolerance, it usually won't help. Bullying comes from the home and the parents. You have to fix the problem not just put a bandaid on it.

you can't fix the problem. people will raise their kids how they see fit. even if you raise your kids properly they might become adolf hitler.

also i can tell you the kids who bullied him would love nothing more than to have the rest of the year off from school

Yeah this made me sick when I saw it on the news the other day. If I'm not mistaken the bullies have been arrested.
