So what is he saying Smarty pants.

sMarty Pants? I like it.

 he'd be a good politician, hence the lack of threads...

Will team address QB? yes thinks its most important position and its a QB league. Look at Indy and New England, etc. Will look at all options there, but starter might already be on team.

Smitty: Would like him to stay, knows he's pissed off, too early to comment on any personnel moves.

Clausen starter next season? Too early to tell. M

Will team pursue all options (FA, draft)? Yes. Perception that JR won't spend is not true.

Why Armani Edwards? Lots of blah blah, thinks he is a play maker and will contribute at WR. Missed his answer on why he didn't see the field last season.

No. 1 Pick? Obviously wouldn't answer if they would keep or trade down.

He's still on. he's taking email and phone questions.

Although he hasn't been giving straight answers, he sounds genuine in his responses. I have been impressed with the interview thus far. We can't expect him to give away any draft information that could possibly lose us trade leverage.

Exactly. Most fans want to know NOW WTF is going on and it isn't going to happen. there is no GM in the NFL going to give any hints at all at what they are doing. To do so is friggin stupidity.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
