Padded practice underway! Got about an hour to catch up on.

Quick summary of what's posted so far:

  • Renfrow (hamstring) working with a trainer before practice, likely on the sidelines today
  • Mike Jackson (toe) back in pads today after missing the last two practices
  • Panthers started streaming a portion of practice @ 10:15am (will drop the link for that later when I find it)
  • Pat Jones (illness) back at practice

Glad to hear that we're gonna play the starters. Seems like the last few years we've been treating preseason like a SB contender just trying to protect our players not needing a lot of questions answered instead of the dumpster fire with more questions than answers that we have been.

    • 949 yds is a strong #2 yards production and identical to Rams #2 Adams. Not sure what your criticism is here
    • I mean they are meeting with guys at his position group. It would be highly unlikely that they are not considering the top ranked player at his position. He was reportedly a joy to talk to interviews. i think I’m leaning towards him not being who they pick, but they are absolutely considering him.
    • Blah blah blah. You don't stop building your team because the QB hasn't shown you the consistency that you want. Anything other than keeping pressing on is managerial incompetence. One monkey doesn't stop the show; you ultimately replace the damned monkey. Coker hasn't shown any consistency to be a WR2, much less anything more. At this point we can't even rely on him to stay on the field. He's a solid receiver, but doesn't provide the speed or dynamicism that will open up the offense; That's the real elephant in the room. We're going to draft a receiver on day one or two; I'd bet on it. Maybe not a lot of WR1 upside, but some quality upside is definitely there in this draft.
