Just the yearly reminder to turn our focus to the hurricanes since the Panthers still suck

Seven wins is not embarrassingly bad. It’s the low end of mediocre (I’m literally guaranteeing losing out) but it’s also the best season this team will have for another 20-30 years.  So it’s nice to be mediocre for once and not a complete doormat until next September.

Getting swept by a bad Saints team that has been trying to tank since the beginning of November is the definition of embarrassing

The Saints haven't tried to tank in 25 years. They're not good but they're a bad matchup for the Panthers, no different than the Panthers were a bad matchup for the Packers. Doesn't make the Packers worse than the Panthers, just means they don't match up well.

Hammer the Bucs and Seahawks ML, kids.

We still suck and pulling a few wins out their asses doesn't change the truth.

Being over .500 after Week 15 when we've scored under 20 points 8 times and had under 300 yards 7 times is pretty wild. You win very few of those games. The margin for error with our typical offensive production is slim to none.

Offense is not good and often easy to shut down, but there's been more days where it was functional than the defense, which REALLY needs to get called out more here as well. This is a historically bad pass rush. Say all you want about spending on OL (good teams do this), but Christ, there's just nothing there in terms of pass rush. Other teams' backups just flatten our guys on both sides of the ball too often.

We have definitely lucked out big time in close games this year. Definitely something that isn't repeatable future seasons

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
