Yep, CJ started out great but now they both look like bums.

Bryce is trending upward....ish? You know, like a ripple in a lake after you throw a small stone in.

CJ is almost a direct line downward. He had been declining steadily since his rookie year. This playoffs was a literal fall off a cliff.

You can’t directly compare, the two situations are really different.
I would want neither.
I always said the trade was horrible and should never have been done, but once done you go with CJ. I just would never have made a trade like that for either or them.

They have taken CJ and try to have him carry the offense, where here it is the offense carries Bryce.  I imagine CJ here having the things done for him like Bryce has, and think we would see a different QB.

I think it would be an interesting switch. I would imagine CJ's rookie year would have been horrible, since he apparently cannot operate without a good OL. Well, that was early Bryce, no OL. But it probably would have improved over time.

Very likely CJ would not have looked very good here at all. It's a tough spot for most QB's. Bryce makes it look tougher than it actually is, certainly, but it isn't a good spot for any QB.

It never is a good spot.

Reich would have known exactly what to do with Stroud.
The best thing I can say about having Bryce is we got rid of Fitterer. Chicago was really happy we took him, I can safely say.

    • Not sure why either of those would be that surprising. I've only been to a handful of games in the decade or so since I moved from Raleigh and have ran into a players' dad drinking in the tailgate lot damn near every time.  (Shoutout to Papa Martinook da GOAT) As far as Shane, dude is puffy and bleary-eyed damn near every broadcast. And, it was a very poorly kept secret that our longest tenured media member was tying one on prior to games for years without anyone intervening. I wouldn't be surprised at all.
    • They are very lucky the refs are basically swallowing their whistles. Miami is getting away with murder.
