Both have had incredibly talented teams that have made it to the playoffs a bunch of years, but have failed to win the big one or even a conference championship. The parallels are there and at what point does ownership get tired of just being happy to be there versus getting over the hump.

Canes lose a game and we get a new thread on why Rod sucks.  Lol.

I agree though.  Eventually something does have to give.  Team is overall playing well and still has the trade deadline to optimize the roster for the playoffs.

Ultimately the seeding in the Metro doesn't really matter.  It's about beating the Panthers.
