To bad he (Gab) didn't throw...but guess thats o.k. ?

The the guy (Cam) that did throw, a QB coach can review the tape and see what and how quick is can be fixed.

One has some issues yes, but the other is basically a "?" (because he was scared to throw).

Sorry, have more respect for the guy (Cam) who put it on the line...

Oh come on. Plenty of quarterbacks don't throw at the combine. As long as he does at his pro day it hardly matters.

Likewise, it doesn't really matter that much that Newton didn't look great at the combine. The non-physical tests were much more important for him. EVERYONE knew he needed work. However, his Auburn proday does hold some import because it'll be another chance for him to show improvement.

Errr what???? Russell and Stafford????

If you look at QBs in the top 20 (which is where I think Newton and Gabbert will go and possibly Locker or Mallet) it has been pretty positive the last few years. Sure, Stafford can't stay on the field and Russell can't stay in the league, but other than them quarterbacks have done well.

Where did you hear these things, Lout?

Rich Eisen or Mike Mayock said it on Sunday during the combine. I was watching NFL network. His official Wonderlic score has not been released yet, but I would assume it's 30+.

Accuracy maybe

Strength ? Not even close.

It's actually a common misconception that Newton has elite arm strength. I can see how people might think he has a great arm because he has huge guns, but it's inaccurate.

Most scouts say Newton has "Very Good Arm Strength". Gabbert has exceptional arm strength and the quickest release in this draft by far.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find it.

You're even more positive about Gabbert than I am. ;)

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
