Getting Very Tired of....

No one Hates Edwards, they hate they Pick

At that point in the draft we could have gotten a player based on need that has proven himself. Nonetheless, Edwards could end up being an outstanding football player...But don't throw the word hate around gingerly. As a fan no one should hate any of their teams players unless the player is absolutely and 100% the reason for the teams failure.

We could get a great DT at #33 this draft, instead we have Armanti Edwards. Or draft Fairly/Dareus in first and get Mallett at #33

Thanks to Hurney, we have high draft picks invested in Claussen and A.E., really setting panthers back.

the Everette Brown trade isn't near as devistating, only because we got Goodson out of it also, and I fear Hurney would've drafted Claussen in first round anyway had he had the option at the time, or The Golden Calf of Bristol which would've been better than Claussen.

No one on here hates AE. I hated the pick. Hated it. A solid team with a few holes can take chances on players like AE. The Panthers were not one of those teams. I hope this kid becomes a Pro Bowler. Oh and people who defend him actually have less proof then the people who criticize the selection. Get over yourselves.

I think to date, the amount of proof for either side of the argument is slim to none.

Eric Decker, 87th pick, 6rec 106yd

Marcus Easley, 107th Pick, 0rec, 0yd

Jacoby Ford, 108th pick, 25rec, 470yd

Marty Gilyard 99th pick, 6rec, 63yds

Taylor Price 90th Pick, 3rec 41yds

Andre Roberts 88th pick, 24rec, 307yds

Emmanuel Sanders 82nd Pick, 28rec, 376yds

Jordan Shipley 84th Pick, 52rec, 600yds

Damian Williams, 77th Pick, 16rec, 219 yds

Mike Williams, 101 pick, 65, 964

Pretty mixed bag, some other notables.

Arrelious Benn, 39th pick 25rec, 395yds

Dez Bryant, 24th Pick, 45rec, 561yds

Golden Tate, 60th Pick, 21rec, 227 yds

Demaryius Thomas, 22nd pick, 22, 283

As you can see, the numbers are all over the place. Hardly convincing evidence that he will or will not be a bust.

My question is, should he put up numbers this year when his pick is ostensibly used that are close to last years players drafted in his position (namely Benn, Bryant, or Thomas) would you still consider him a bust?
