Matt Moore...

Lol at odd years. Got a good laugh from on that one.

I'm also not just talking about one game. Any qb will have a bad game here and there, specially when they feel the need to carry the team.

Yes, he was throwing to steve smith. But there was lil timing, as smith was out all of training camp due to his broken arm. They had 1, maybe 2 weeks of practice to get back into a rythem. The same rookies didn't even play two weeks in a row in preseason.

Rosario is the most inconsistent te on the team.

Nothing from preseason inspired me about the offense.

I find it amazing that you are judging moore from those games? And completely write off the the issues that surrounded the offense.

I've got more games of moore playing well, than I do of him playing bad. When watching them, it is painfully obvious the differences.

I know you have more games of him playing well, they all come in his odd years. :)

Seriously, he stunk bad last year. So did Clausen, St. Pierre, and Pike. You kind of expected it from the latter three, we all thought (hoped) that Moore would be as good as he had shown.

People have been bashing Clausen unmercifully on these boards, and have blamed him for the offensive woes. Moore's experience should put the lie to that. Davidson was awful, the defense and special teams suffered a lot of let-downs, the line was in flux all year, and we were starting way too many rookies. It wasn't a good environment for anyone.

This is going to be a difficult year for Moore. Clausen (and Pike) will both be over their rookie years, and should be much more formidable opponents in training camp. His injury won't fully heal until late summer--he's just now started throwing. He will probably have to contend with another veteran to get the third roster spot (assuming the guys under contract have the other two). Frankly, if I was his agent I would be burning up the phone lines looking for another place for him.

I would love to see him do well. I'm not banking on it though...

Moore has plenty of interest from other teams as I've heard and he's fully healthy ;)

We know you love you some Clausen but no chance he beats out Moore in any competition. Moore is better in every facet of the game than Clausen and the coaching staff will see that. I expect Moore to start next year and return to the player he's shown he is over his career, not over a 3ish game span where he had no help.

The only way Moore isn't starting here is if he decides to sign somewhere else for more money.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, I actually meant that. TRD's been right about Moore enough that I'm not really worried if his latest information is different than something we heard earlier in the month. If he's wrong, all it means is Moore is less likely to start.

I would be astonished if Clausen beat out a healthy Moore, but I was also astonished at how bad Clausen was last year, so I'm not a reliable source on how well those two will do compared to one another. Ugh.

Fixed for accuracy ;)

Appreciate the confidence though

Shush--you'll be using old secondhand information

Is that second hand from Gantt? According to his twitter feed, Moore is currently rehabbing.

And I hope you appreciate that I am not anti-Moore. I would love to see either him or Clausen (or even Pike) step up and become a reliable, star-quality NFL Quarterback. I just don't believe in Moore as much as you do. And I think Clausen will improve a lot more than you do, although I'm not thinking star-quality for either of them right now. I guess we'll see who's right, huh?

The article I saw was from Feb that said he wouldn't throw until May.

I know he's already throwing. Anything else you want to know just let me know and I'll find out for you. I don't "Blog" but I do have some reliable contacts as my record speaks for itself.

As for Clausen, meh. I don't care what he does in the future as long as it's not with this franchise because he reached his ceiling in college. Your support of him is completely without any basis and everyone in the world knows it. The only person who believes in him is Hurney and that's only because he has to.

I hope he is not our QB in the future because it would severely limit our franchise.

Right.

Teams are tampering and risking losing draft picks to make sure they're first in line to sign Matt Moore of all QB's should he come available.

Do you even stop to think of how foolish you look before you post?

Me hearing about interest in Moore =/= tampering

Considering Moore is a ®FA, how would any of it be tampering even if they offered him a contract?
