........should they target? I would love to see them go after a shut down coverage man, possibly a Malcolm Jenkins from Ohio State? Secondary guys are much more suited to start out of college then Defensive Lineman, and I hope they dont expect to draft the next Peppers with the first round pick.

i don't think there is any question DL and DB are the most important in this draft and FA season. I think we are decent at LB. actually, decnt at DB as well but we need to replace Lucas. otherwise, we should go DL, DB, DL with our first 3 picks or any combo similar depending on talent available when we pick.

what would be really cool, is if we trade pep to a team that picks in the top half of the draft getting us a really nice pick rather than to say pittsburgh leaving us at the tail end of the round.

Well considering we NEED a good front 7 I am sure our draft will probably look like this;

1st- WR

2nd- TE

3rd-K

you get the point.

we arent the lions... our FO might be scaring the sh*t out of us, but they are good drafters. heck i didnt agree with picking up jon stewart last year and now we are going to have the best backfield in the NFL for years.

I agree somewhat. I am just B/S'n.

However- Last off season WE KNEW we needed to get some line help to make up for Jenkins, well we are sitting here saying the same poo.

Plus now we have to get a good DE.

The front office has a habbit of being too "re-active" in stead of "pro-active"

Its like we are always just 1 step behind. They need to get aggressive this offseason and load us out.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
