I'm so happy I need to share

Long story short, my son had mono last fall. He missed almost an entire 6 weeks of school, even doing inbound schooling. They failed him for last semester due to days missed, even though his grades were good.

Two weeks ago, they told him they were going to take his license. We turned in more dr's notes, letters from his dr, etc just trying for him to them.

I got a text just a bit ago that they were going to let him keep his license.

A few minutes later, I get another text saying they passed him for the semester. The only class he failed was French. He's going to graduate on time!!!!

Y'all just don't know how much we've cried over him not being able to walk across the stage. I'm so happy right now I'm crying even more.

That's good news... i can't believe that they were being so harsh due to an illness.

I didn't think they would be, either. I honestly thought they were going to take his license this morning. Wed they put a note on his jeep saying he wasn't supposed to drive to school anymore.

He's a happy kid right now. LOL

We'd given up hope of him graduating on time. They told us in Jan there was nothing they could do, that he'd missed too many days. Funny how it took them wanting to take his license to overturn everything.

    • She’s just mad because the last time they were in the SB, I celebrated that they lost.
    • He had an injury history at NC State that evidently made them leery. He went to a high school 10 miles from me, he was a heck of a player in high school as you would imagine. He tore his ACL during his senior year in high school and re-tore it again soon after arriving at State. He had season ending surgery in 2021 after having surgery on both shoulders in the offseason. He did play 2 full, healthy seasons to end his college career.
    • I know people accuse me of mental gymnastics but if you put the all hands on deck alarm that was out there for the QB, so much of it makes sense as far as what they were thinking.   Canales and Morgan both were hired with a mandate.   Tepper is not a patient man. Told Reich Young’s bad footwork needed to be fixed that week. Which was Reich’s next to last or maybe last week. Something like that. Near the end. Morgan for sure was aware of that situation.  Rech had told him it would take an offseason. And it did. More really, that still isn’t fixed right.
