One of our members, MCCNASTY2 plays football in a Public Safety League. The league is made up of Police Officers, Firefighters and Paramedics.

What does this mean for you?

Probably nothing but I like to think we support our own and he is a really good guy.

Why am I posting this?

Well, because the Charlotte Cobras are playing the LAPD here in Los Angeles, California.

I and a few of my chillun are going to the game and I welcome any of you who might be considering attending to have a tailgate.

This is some pretty serious football and if you get a chance to see it, it is fun. Not sure where they play at home but here is a link to their schedule.

Linky

So, let me know and maybe we can have a get together......

I want to go, where in LA Pantha?

It is really fun. Bring lawn chairs and you can get really close. We can get together and tailgate. I wil be there at about 12-ish.

We saw him when they came to play BPD in the playoffs a couple of years ago. MCCNASTY2 is a really great guy and his teammates are teh awesome.

Plus you get to go to the after party which is a hoot.

If you go, get ready to answer the "how the hell did a Panther Fan end up out here" or my favorite, "how the hell did a Cali Boy end up a Panther fan?" :D

Is this flag football?

Nope.

More like a Semi-Pro league. Full gear and hitting.

If I'm not mistaken, Charlotte is known to be one of the harder hitting teams. A cop friend who knows i'm a Panther Fan said the locals were concerned when they found out they were playing Charlotte in the playoffs.

MCCNASTY is a brute.

??

It was a coin toss in 1995. Never had a favorite team, just rooted for players.

I vowed to root for the Panthers or Jacksonville for 10 years no matter what depending on if it was heads or tails.

Then we made it to the SB and I gave them another 10 years.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
    • Burns at 5-6 seems....a little aggressive.
