What are your rules with your pets and your furniture?

My dog is part of the family. He's welcome to go anywhere in the house.

Our 2 dogs are allowed on the bed and on the recliner in my little man room. The matching sofa was ruined by one of them, and because of that they aren't allowed on the new stuff.

mine are only on the bed briefly when we go to bed, and then they get back on when my alarm goes off or the sun comes up.

Nug can go anywhere except up on the counter and on the bathroom counters.....she does her own thing and then comes and gets in bed with me around 4am.

Dog used to not even go upstairs.

Now because of my brother he's on the couch and beds.

Our 2 dogs are small, so they don't take up too much space.

My wife and I disagree about them being on the couch, but my son has fixed that problem:) They can't lay on the couch anymore without him chasing after them, he's so awesome

I had very strict rules, my wife has fought them since we're together.

When we first started living together, our dog wasn't allowed on the furniture or in the bedroom.

Then she wore me down and we let the dog sleep on the floor in the bedroom.

Then she wore me down more and we let the dog on the couches.

Then she wore me down more and the dog sleeps in the bed with us, and hogs the bed.

my dogs come in alot during the winter but aren't allowed on the furniture. they typically sleep in my daughters bed with her, which amazes me as she'll be in that bed with the two shepherds and both her cats. How she sleeps, I'll never know.
