To me Red Viper's death was more traumatic on the show than in the books. In the books I was more upset for Tyrion than Oberyn, but in the show I was upset that a great character had such a short run. Plus seeing a guys head crushed is worse than reading about a guys head getting crushed.

I think that is a credit to the show runners and even more a credit to Pedro Pascal for making TV Oberyn >>>>> than book Oberyn

Agreed 100%.  Oberyn in the books was really just a minor character to me.  That actor that they cast on the show was fantastic and they really made him a great character...

BTW I am going to be pretty bummed when

the Hound dies (or does he?). He was one of my favorites in the books and Rory McCann more than did the character justice

The casting on this show so far has been impeccable.

Big debate about that (I was reading about it a bit the other day).

Whether or not he's actually dead... I will def miss the character on the show... he's one of the best. I suspect that like several others, he's not really dead, well... at least not completely.

Yeah I have read that too and there are several theories floating around out there, my question is

if he indeed survives and is at the monastery, will the show continue his story that happens outside of the books narrators? Do we get to see him go from the Hound to a peaceful gravedigger? Especially if he still has a role to play in the last two books

Well, he has certainly been a main character on the show... but who knows what they'll do with that kind of thing... since it's beyond the published books, it's all pure speculation at this point...

The Hound = Azor Ahai

I think that would be cool, but there isn't any evidence that is true.  But that is the thing with Martin, it very well could be him.  Martin keeps you on your toes, anything could happen.  I can honestly say I have no idea how the series is going to end, or what roles each character will have in that ending.

Dany is the safe bet, she meets all the criteria.  But it is so obvious that it is her, that maybe it is a misdirect from Martin.  John Snow is another good bet, especially if R+L=J
